The second official expansion to Rome: Total War, a game developed by Creative Assembly in 2004. Alexander is the second expansion for Rome: Total War. It was developed by Creative Assembly, just like any other product in the Total War series. This time around, we assume the role of one of the most brilliant strategists in the history of mankind, Alexander the Great, who earned his place in history books thanks to his grand conquests.

In author’s own words:
Once Zaros, the empty lord, ruled over most of Gielinor. Zaros was feared by all but even he could not hold on to his power forever as he was betrayed by his most powerful general, a mahjarrat called Zamorak. This brought an end to Zaros rule. It's the third age on Gielinor now... a time of total war! More info: This modification for Alexander RTW will aim to have most of the races of Gielinor known to have participated in the wars. Also I will first focus on making units and custom settlements before I try and make a campaign. Playable factions are: Zarosian Empire, Saradominist Kingdoms, Zamorakians, Guthixians, Tirannwn, Fremennik Tribes, Followers of Armadyl, Hordes of Bandos, Desert Empire.
Instructions:
Steam instal instruction:
1) Extract the download to '...\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander\alexander\'
2) open properties in steam
3) ;;;go to start up settings (not sure if it is the exact name in english version of steam) and add the line:
'-mod:alexander/runescape -show_err'
DISC instal instruction:
1) Extract the download to '...\Rome Total War\alexander\'
2) make a shortcut to the alx.exe
3) open properties of the shortcut with left clicking the shortcut
4) In the target line enter after what is already written:
-mod:alexander/runescape -show_err
