Leisure Suit Larry 7: Love for Sail is the sixth part of a series of humorous adventures by Al Lowe and the development team of Sierra. This time the faulty amateur Larry Laffer sets off on a cruise in the company of beautiful women.

Game’s Setup executable is 16 bits and won't work on 64 bits OS. This mod provides alternate installer.

Scales to use entire screen (Direct3D bilinear interpolation).

Per-user save games (Vista friendly).

Fixes exceptions and errors under XP/Vista.

Requirements

Windows XP or Vista.

DirectX 9c (Direct3D).

Changes to the original game

XP/Vista Installer

New installer created to be XP/Vista friendly.

The installer will install the files normally included by a Sierra install.

The Sierra LSL7PAT update files are included and installed (English version only).

XP/Vista Executable

Modified version of the original Sierra Windows 95 executable.

Fixes SP alignment bugs causing errors under XP/Vista.

Upscale to full screen resolution while maintaining aspect ratio.

Dirext3D hardware accelerated bilinear interpolation.

On a widescreen monitor black bars are added left/right to maintain correct aspect ratio.

Store save games per user to work under Vista. Default APPDATA locations:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Sierra\Leisure Suit Larry 7

Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Sierra\Leisure Suit Larry 7

To use:

Create new folder, copy the contents of game’s CD there and extract mod’s archive. Then run leisure_suit_larry_7_english_install_20080921.msi.
