Hundreds of young people lined up to give blood in Graz on Tuesday after a former student fatally shot nine people before killing himself at a local secondary school—the deadliest school shooting in Austria’s modern history.
The outpouring of support followed a wave of national grief, as survivors and relatives of the wounded received care. One donor, a local named Johanna, said she felt compelled to act in the face of such horror.
