mIRC is one of the most popular clients to support IRC (Internet Relay Chat). It allows you to attach to existing communication channels or setting up your own, allowing you to chat with people from all over the world.
The application has clear interface, but using it requires from you at least basic knowledge of the IRC protocol and in a situation when you want to join a large community, you also need to have knowledge of the channels established earlier.
