Abodox is good fun, definitely one of the best shooters for the NES. There are side-scrolling and vertical-scrolling sections, and a variety of weapons and power-ups. The biggest challenges come when there are tight spots to fit through. Everything works on a fleshy biological theme, and most of the bosses have eyes that you need to shoot. Most appropriately, most of them also have "blind" spots where they cannot shoot you. The toughest part of the game is where you need to escape from the planet after rescuing the girl.
This game is intense. It may be old, but still friggin intense.
Your a little guy who shoots these little pellets at first. You start finding upgrades and stuff like that, and before you know it, your some killing machine, shooting giant bubbles, with heat-seeking missiles.
The whole games about you trying to save a princess, who is inside a living planet. The only thing that makes it extremely hard is that you die in one shoot, while everything shots at you.
Abadaox is an awesome side scrolling/downard vertical scrolling shooter. I don't really know much about the plot except that there's a princess trapped inside a giant living planet and you're the only one that can go in and get her out. The game can get pretty hard at some points but if you're determined enough and know some of the tricks to the bosses it shouldn't be a problem.
