What encryption protocol are you using currently? is it WPA2 or WPA3 .. if WPA3 try make another individual connection only for the laptop using lower encryption protocol eg. WPA2 or WPA-PSK (WEP is not recommended), this can be assigned alone for the laptop without interupting other connected devices ..
