I was able change the DWORD but it doesn't save even after I restart the computer. Also my default slideshow starts at 10 minutes - when I change it to 1 minute - again it doesn't sve and when I restart it is back to 10 min
Hi Dental. I had exactly the same experience! Every detail. The dropdown after changing Regedit.exe has a blue line next to 10 minutes. The setting is supposed to be milliseconds. 10 seconds should be 10000, but the web is covered with people putting up this same procedure even Microsoft and IT DOES NOT WORK! NONE OF THEM.
Most of them have you do the Regedit and even restart Explorer (what?, makes no sense) and then they never show that the dropdown in Personalize and Slideshow is not changed at all, it goes from 1 minute to 10 minutes. People have posted multiple YouTubes that are just a flat out lie and to make money.
purchase but none of them mention the Interval times available at all, and you can't try them for free first to see if they even work. Microsoft is pathetic. Ever try to get phone support. THERE IS NONE. You can take an hour trying to find their company number and they will call you back and hang up the phone right away.
They all have an extension at Microsoft in the US and they never give it out to anyone and there is no directory at all. Just a message that says if you know the extension enter it now, but they must have all signed in blood that their extensions would never be given out ANYWHERE OR BY ANYONE. SORRY, I'M BUMMED ALSO.
Some people reply back that it's a stupid thing to want to change your background every 10 seconds. They have no idea why we want to do this because they can't even engage their brain. They get rude.
