The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility successfully uninstalled Windows Live software after all other methods failed. Initially, a problem was encountered while installing Windows Live Essentials on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine.
The installation was aborted with a message saying a later version was installed. Then, I could neither install nor uninstall it following normal procedures. Next, uninstall attempts failed using both Microsoft FixIt and a manual uninstall. Finally, I tried this Utility.
Only after this Utility successfully uninstalled the Windows Live software was I able go back and re-install it. |
