Kaspersky Rescue Disk is not an application to install on your hard drive, but a free image of a self-running CD, which contains anti-virus software developed by Kaspersky Lab – one of the world's biggest companies in the market of security programs.
Burned on the CD/DVD, the Rescue Disk can be useful in critical situations, when the viruses have led to the condition when it is not possible to even run the operating system and to use a traditional antivirus program to remove harmful factors.

To burn the Kaspersky Rescue Disk on CD/DVD, you need an external software, like Nero or Infra Recorder (unless you have Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Internet Security programs).
